Author

Rhonda Winfield lives on a farm in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with her husband, Scott, and their two sons, Courtland and Carter. She is a rural mail carrier and ardent supporter of the United States military family. She recognizes the sacrifices that those in service to our nation, as well as their families, must make daily and has dedicated herself to reminding our country that FREEDOM ISN’T FREE.

This book was born of a void created when her second oldest son, Jason, was killed in combat while serving in Iraq. Rhonda had written Jason daily letters since he left home for boot camp. When the ability to correspond with him was ended, she sought a way to continue to convey what was in her heart.

Rhonda’s oldest son, Justin, lives in West Virginia with his wife and daughter where he continues to serve his country in the United States Army Reserve.

A portion of the proceeds of this book will be donated to The Jason Redifer Memorial Fund at Stuart Hall School in Stuarts Draft, VA.
